Overview

We are seeking a motivated, knowledgeable, and customer-focused Licensed Yacht Broker to represent the brokerage's growing presence in Florida. The ideal candidate is passionate about yachting, has strong sales and negotiation skills, and is experienced in representing buyers and sellers of new and pre-owned yachts. As a Yacht Broker, you will build lasting client relationships, manage yacht listings, conduct showings and sea trials, negotiate transactions, and guide clients through every stage of the buying and selling process.

Key Responsibilities

  • Represent buyers and sellers in the purchase and sale of yachts and boats.
  • Prospect for new clients through networking, referrals, marketing, and industry events.
  • Develop and maintain a portfolio of yacht listings.
  • Conduct vessel inspections, showings, and sea trials.
  • Prepare market analyses and recommend competitive listing prices.
  • Negotiate purchase agreements and contracts on behalf of clients.
  • Coordinate surveys, financing, insurance, documentation, and closing activities.
  • Ensure compliance with all Florida and federal boating regulations.
  • Maintain accurate client records and sales activity using CRM software.
  • Stay informed on market trends, vessel values, and industry developments.
  • Attend boat shows, marina events, and networking opportunities to generate business.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service before, during, and after each transaction.

Required Qualifications

  • Active Florida Yacht & Ship Broker license (or ability to maintain licensing in good standing).
  • Previous yacht brokerage, marine sales, luxury sales, or related experience preferred.
  • Strong understanding of yachts, boating systems, and the marine industry.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Proven ability to generate leads and close high-value sales.
  • Self-motivated with strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and CRM software.
  • Valid driver's licence and reliable transportation.
  • Ability to travel to marinas, boatyards, and client locations throughout Florida.
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Existing network within the Florida boating community.
  • Experience with luxury sales or high-net-worth clientele.
  • Knowledge of vessel documentation, financing, and marine insurance.
  • Familiarity with digital marketing and social media promotion.
