One of the leading yacht management and brokerage firms seek a VSAT specialist to join them, covering both sales and technical support across their fleet. 

As one of the largest in industry both in terms of managed fleet and staff numbers, this excellent employer have identified a large demand for VSAT across their yachts and now seek an individual capable of growing their VSAT offerings and supporting their yachts in all areas of VSAT sales and development. 

Based from one of their many European locations, the ideal candidate will be able to fulfil the following duties:

- Sale and development of VSAT services across the fleet in line with agreed targets and budgeting. 

- Preparation of proposals for clients and an ability to manage new and existing accounts in both a commercial and technical aspect

- Identify and procure cutting edge technology and systems to maintain a highly modern fleet

- On-site visits to talk clients through new and existing installations

- Attendance at both product specific shows and at yacht shows throughout the year. 

 

The ideal candidate will be technically degree educated with 5+ years experience in a VSAT environment. With strong technical knowledge and a keen interest in the marketplace, you'll be confident to promote and develop sales across the fleet, showing clear and current knowledge of the sector. Whilst office based, you will need to expect up to 40% travel and be confident working with clients at all levels.

Duties will include:

- Product and project ownership of the full design lifecycle

- Leadership of a number of engineers across challenging projects

- High level engineering, review of designs and analysis

- Generation of reports for internal and external review 

A confident engineer, you will have built your career in composites engineering within a similar consultancy or shipyard, showing clear diversity in the history of your projects and offering a keen eye towards innovation and advances in composite materials and construction.
