Operations Manager – Salesforce & Business Systems

Location: London

Contract: Full Time / Permanent

About The Client

The client is an established and respected Yacht Brokerage based in Central London. With several international offices servicing a portfolio of UHNWIs around the world, the client facilitates the sale and purchase of luxury yachts, and provides a range of charter services for clients looking to privately charter a luxury yacht anywhere in the world.

About the Role

We are looking for a highly organised, commercially minded Operations Manager to take ownership of the systems, processes and operational infrastructure that underpin a fast-paced, growing business.

A key focus of the role will be Salesforce. You will be responsible for ensuring Salesforce remains an accurate, effective and commercially valuable platform for managing sales activity, data, reporting and business processes.

This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys improving the way a business operates. You will work closely with senior leadership and the wider team to optimise Salesforce, introduce automation, improve data quality, streamline processes and ensure the business has the systems and information it needs to operate efficiently and support growth.

Key Responsibilities

Salesforce & Business Systems

  • Take day-to-day ownership and administration of Salesforce, ensuring the platform is well maintained, structured and aligned with business requirements.
  • Manage Salesforce users, permissions, data standards, workflows, reporting and routine system updates.
  • Maintain high standards of data quality, accuracy and consistency across Salesforce.
  • Develop and improve Salesforce processes to support sales activity, pipeline management and operational reporting.
  • Build and maintain dashboards, reports and management information to provide clear visibility of business performance.
  • Identify opportunities to improve the use of Salesforce across the team and drive user adoption.
  • Segment, organise and assign records within Salesforce to ensure information is structured and actionable.
  • Troubleshoot day-to-day Salesforce issues and act as the key internal point of contact for system queries.
  • Work with external technology providers where required to maintain and enhance business systems.
  • Manage core software, licences and technology providers.

Process Improvement & Automation

  • Review existing operational processes and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, consistency and scalability.
  • Introduce automation and streamlined workflows to reduce manual administration.
  • Identify practical opportunities to use AI and automation across the business.
  • Implement approved AI tools and systems and support colleagues with adoption and training.
  • Develop standardised processes and documentation to ensure efficient ways of working.
  • Continuously look for ways to improve the connection between systems, data and day-to-day business activity.

Commercial & Operational Support

  • Support the Commercial Manager and senior leadership team with operational processes that enable effective sales activity.
  • Ensure key information and processes are accurately recorded and easily accessible.
  • Support deal administration and ensure required documentation and internal processes are completed accurately.
  • Produce operational, systems and performance reporting for senior management.
  • Work with Finance on budgeting, forecasting and monitoring of operational expenditure.
  • Track key operating costs including technology, subscriptions, hardware and external providers.

Team & Business Operations

  • Manage onboarding and offboarding, including system access, permissions, equipment and business accounts.
  • Manage company hardware and maintain an accurate asset register.
  • Maintain company registrations, memberships and associated documentation.
  • Maintain clear and practical operating procedures.
  • Provide operational support to senior leadership and assist with wider business projects where required.
  • Coordinate business travel, meetings, events and other operational requirements as necessary.

What We're Looking For

We are looking for someone who combines strong Salesforce capability with excellent operational and organisational skills.

Essential Experience

  • 3–4 years' experience in an operations, business support, commercial operations or similar role.
  • Hands-on Salesforce administration experience, including workflows, reporting, user management, data management and process improvement.
  • Strong understanding of how CRM systems can support sales processes and commercial performance.
  • Experience improving business processes and implementing more efficient ways of working.
  • Strong attention to detail and a high standard of data accuracy.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, systems and stakeholders in a fast-moving environment.
  • Confident working independently and taking ownership of systems and processes.

Desirable

  • Experience with Salesforce automation and advanced functionality.
  • Experience implementing AI tools, automation or other operational technologies.
  • Experience working with reporting, dashboards and business intelligence.
  • Experience supporting a sales or commercially driven organisation.

The Person

You will be proactive, analytical and naturally curious about how systems and processes can work better. You will enjoy getting into the detail, solving problems and taking ownership rather than simply administering existing processes. You will be comfortable working with both senior stakeholders and end users and able to translate business requirements into practical improvements.

Most importantly, you will see Salesforce as more than a database — you will understand how good CRM structure, data and automation can directly improve visibility, efficiency and commercial performance.

What We Offer

  • Salary Bracket at £50-55,000 pa DOE
  • 25 days' annual leave
  • One day working from home per week
  • Comprehensive health benefits
  • Supportive and collaborative working environment
  • Opportunity to work in a dynamic and international industry
  • A hands-on role with significant scope to shape and improve business systems and processes
