Are you an experienced Marine Service Engineer who is looking for a new challenge with a premium leading global provider of marine systems to both the medium and large yacht sectors.

We are working with a leading global supplier of marine systems who are seeking an experienced marine service engineer to support their UK and Northern European based customers. This is a great role for someone who is looking to work within an exciting segment of the marine industry and with a small but dynamic organisation with strong potential for personal advancement.

Joining as Service Engineer, your role will include: - 

Representing the business as the onsite advocate in supporting our customers during the installation, commissioning, sea-trials, warranty issues and routine servicing phases.

Be able to work independently with the remote support of the UK and Italian based teams

Comfortable travelling overseas which will require at times making travel arrangements alone.

Communicative with the yacht’s owner and / or shipyard with regards the works.

Complete reports in a timely fashion for both internal and external use.

Report to the Service Manager regarding any work and service calls, including service reports and commissioning plans.

Respecting the unique nature of a luxury yacht by maintaining the cleanliness of the working environment and the fit and finish of other systems, hardware, etc.

Actively contribute to product improvement by providing feedback on issues and system performance to the parent company

Interact in a professional and ethical manner with yacht owners, their representatives, shipyard staff and other trades

Be on call and work at times during unsocial hours and on short notice

Respond to service calls that may include overseas travel and sometimes for an extended period 

As an Individual you will have experience of

A strong multi-disciplinary background (mechanical, electrical and electronics)

Competency with MS Office type software.

Will need to visit shipyards, yachts under construction, climb steep steps, navigate confined areas and be comfortable on construction sites.

Demonstrated independent working skills.

Self-motivated and able to prioritise tasks.

A general knowledge of naval architecture and marine engineering gained either academically or vocationally is useful though not a requirement.

May have to spend extended periods of time working from home and should be able to do so if required.

Strong logical thinking and problem-solving skills.

Italian, or foreign language skills are not a prerequisite for this role, though a command of other languages would be advantageous
