Job Description

We're looking for an ambitious interior designer to join a London-based yacht designer and be a leading light in the growth of their interior design team

With a glittering past that has seen many awards won across their past projects, this studio is navigating a period of growth that has seen them target the 70m+ sector. Following numerous recent project wins and a couple of high profile launches, the team are now looking to develop their interiors offering through the development of their interior design team.

Reporting into the business owners and Head of Design, this is a highly important role for the business and one that will suit an ambitious and outgoing creative keen to make a key career move. Duties will include:

- Joining projects and pitch meetings from an early stage to understand the project brief and form schemes and ideas

- Development of design from blank sheet using a confidence in sketchwork to be able to portray ideas to owners and their representatives and translate suggestions in to designs

- Take sketches into digital format, creating strong 3D designs and 2D Technical drawings

- Working closely with a junior team member and drafter to generate drawings for sign off and also for manufacture and production via selected interior outfitters.

The post will suit someone with around 5 years industry experience in either yacht or high end residential design who has a passion for creativity and a character that will lend itself well to inspiring owners and colleagues alike when devising new interiors projects. You'll be mainly office based in London, so will need to either be located in the city or keen to relocate (relocation assistance and visa sponsorship can be offered) and be prepared to travel as required for client meets, shipyard visits and to boatshows.

You'll be joining a really talented team who are on a strong course to succeed and will ultimately be driving the interiors department in years to come.
