A leading shipping company is looking to add an experienced Technical Manager to its shore based team, providing complete management services to commercial ships and luxury yachts..

Combining technical and compliance work, the TM will cover all aspects of routine operation of the managed fleet and also become involved in project based work as required. Thorough knowledge of the ISM and ISPS codes are required, along with MLC and COSWP. The TM works directly with the companies clients, including Captains and Owners so experience and aptitude in customer facing roles is required.

Applicants will be holding a valid Merchant Navy certificate of competency as an engineering officer or similar, and additional high-level qualifications such as DPA or CSO are also desirable.

This is an office based role in the North East of the UK, so applicants are reminded that location and proximity to the central office is important. However, please feel free to apply if you are able to relocate to the area for work.
